Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on Serge Gnabry's contract situation at Bayern Munich, with the Blues interested in signing the Germany international.
The 26-year-old has again been a key player for Bayern during the 2021-22 campaign, making 31 appearances in all competitions, contributing 12 goals and nine assists in the process.
Gnabry has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Allianz Arena, though, and there has recently been speculation surrounding his future with the Bundesliga champions.
According to Bild, Bayern are not currently prepared to meet the German's wage demands, which has created a standoff, with Chelsea being alerted to the situation.
The report claims that the Blues have 'knocked on his door' regarding a potential move, and the attacker is open to the idea of returning to London to represent the Champions League holders.
Gnabry started his professional career with Arsenal but failed to make the breakthrough at the club, moving to Werder Bremen in 2016 before arriving at Bayern in 2017.
The attacker - also recently linked with Manchester United and Liverpool - has scored 59 goals and registered 39 assists in 157 appearances for Der FCB in all competitions.
