Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson reportedly pushes for a loan move away from Old Trafford, having not made a first-team squad so far this season.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has reportedly asked for a loan move away from Old Trafford in January, amid a battle for minutes with David de Gea.

The English stopper made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season, but went on to miss England's Euro 2020 campaign, and the beginning of the new season through the effects of long COVID.

Such an absence has seen him fall down the pecking order behind De Gea, who has started every game so far this campaign and saved an injury-time penalty against West Ham United to keep hold of all three points on Sunday.

According to Daily Mail, the 24-year-old is now pushing for a loan move away from Manchester United for game time, having failed to make a first-team squad so far this season.

Henderson did get his first taste of Premier League football in a loan spell, as he rejoined newly-promoted Sheffield United for the 2019-20 season after helping them to promotion and kept 13 clean sheets in 36 league appearances as they posted a ninth-placed finish.
