West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is still keen to join Chelsea this summer rather than Manchester United, according to a report.

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is reportedly still keen to join Chelsea this summer rather than Manchester United despite the London club's off-the-field issues.

The future of Chelsea is unclear at the moment due to the sanctions placed on club owner Roman Abramovich, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues will be able to bring in new players this summer.

Rice's future at West Ham continues to be called into question, with the England international once again enjoying an impressive campaign for the Europa League quarter-finalists.

Man United are believed to be interested in the midfielder, but according to the Evening Standard, Rice would still prefer to return to his former club Chelsea.

The 23-year-old, who has scored four times and registered four assists in 38 appearances for the Hammers this season, was released by Chelsea at the age of 14.

West Ham remain determined to keep hold of their star player, with the London club allegedly placing a £150m valuation on his shoulders ahead of this summer's transfer window.

Rice still has more than two years left to run on his contract at the London Stadium, while David Moyes's side have the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.
