Donny van de Beek has reportedly completed a medical with Manchester United ahead of his proposed £40m switch to Old Trafford.
The Ajax midfielder appears to be inching closer towards a move to the Premier League with the Red Devils, making him Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing of the summer transfer window.
Van de Beek is currently with the Netherlands squad preparing for their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Poland and Italy, but according to Sky Sports News, the midfielder has now undergone his medical with United.
A deal is expected to be wrapped up within the next few days, and despite coronavirus guidelines requiring a 14-day quarantine period when arriving in the UK, the report claims that Van de Beek will not need to self-isolate if he is registered as a Man United player before the Netherlands take to the field in the Nations League.
The Netherlands are due to take on Poland on September 4 before locking horns with Italy three days later, and Van de Beek will reportedly travel to the UK once both games have been played.
The 23-year-old registered 10 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Ajax during the 2019-20 campaign.
