Serge Gnabry is reportedly preparing to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.

Serge Gnabry is reportedly preparing to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich, with the attacker now happy with the deal that has been placed on the table by the German champions.

The 26-year-old's existing deal at Allianz Arena is due to expire next summer, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few weeks.

Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with the Germany international, while there have also been suggestions of interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, according to Kicker, Gnabry has now agreed to remain with Bayern, and a new contract for the German is expected to be announced in the near future.

The report claims that 'only the final details' need to be addressed, with the forward expected to pen a fresh four or five-year contract with the Bundesliga champions.

Gnabry featured on 45 occasions for Bayern last term, contributing 17 goals and 10 assists in the process, including 14 goals and six assists in 34 Bundesliga matches.

Meanwhile, he has made 171 appearances for the Bundesliga champions since arriving from Werder Bremen in 2017, scoring 64 goals and contributing 40 assists in the process.

According to Bild, Bayern offered the attacker the chance to double his salary to a figure in the region of £14m, but he was reluctant to sign the deal on the table, as he was unsure whether he would be a key player for the team moving forward.

The proposed agreement could place the former Arsenal attacker alongside Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane in terms of the highest earners at Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid had also been credited with an interest in Gnabry, having missed out on Kylian Mbappe, but Los Blancos are allegedly not preparing to make any more high-profile signings this summer.

Gnabry initially joined Arsenal from Stuttgart in 2011 but failed to become a first-team regular for the Gunners, only making 18 appearances in all competitions before leaving for Werder Bremen.

The attacker has won four Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokal trophies and the Champions League during a highly-successful period at Allianz Arena.

Bayern, meanwhile, are currently battling to keep hold of Robert Lewandowski, with the Poland international pushing to join Barcelona during this summer's transfer window.

Lewandowski has recently returned to first-team training with the German giants but remains determined to leave in the current market to complete a move to Camp Nou.

Bayern are building towards the 2022-23 Bundesliga campaign, which begins for the champions with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt on August 5.
