Harry Kane is reportedly still hopeful of a move to Manchester United this summer, although Tottenham Hotspur's £100m asking price is too high for the Red Devils.

Manchester United has reportedly emerged as the preferred destination for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane during this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old enjoyed another productive season for Spurs despite the team's struggles in the Premier League, scoring 30 goals in 38 league matches - a record which could only be bested by Manchester City's Erling Braut Haaland this term.

Having netted on over 270 occasions for the North London club in all competitions, England's all-time record scorer has understandably attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest sides.

According to the Daily Mail, Kane is hopeful of completing a transfer to Manchester United this summer, however Spurs would have to reduce their asking price for the attacker in order for a deal to go through.

It is understood that Daniel Levy is holding out for £100m for the services of the 29-year-old, whilst the Red Devils are not prepared to part with that amount of money for a player who has only one year left on his current deal.

The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are all keen on capturing Kane for next season, however the player himself is said to be hoping to stay in the Premier League.
