Lille midfielder Angel Gomes is attempting to ignore speculation regarding a return to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is currently living up to his potential in France having made 123 appearances for Lille since his transfer in 2020.
Gomes has also developed into an England international, significantly enhancing his reputation yet not his price-tag when he has less than six months remaining on his contract.
As it stands, it appears highly likely that Gomes will remain at Stade Pierre-Mauroy and depart as a free agent at the end of the season.

What has Gomes had to say?
With Gomes having made 12 starts and five substitute outings in Ligue 1 and Champions League fixtures this campaign, the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with his signature.
Gomes is no stranger to the former courtesy of making three starts and seven substitute outings during his previous stint at Old Trafford.
Nevertheless, it appears that the playmaker is avoiding any distractions at this stage of the campaign, the focus being on trying to finish on a high with Lille.
As quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Gomes said: "I'm aware of clubs enquiring about my situation, but I'm now completely focused on Lille.
"I want to finish the season in the best way possible, and then we will see what happens. I'm focused on the present and not on negotiations."
Lille currently sit in fifth position in the Ligue 1 table, while victory over Feyenoord on Wednesday may be enough to earn a top-eight spot in the League Phase of the Champions League standings.

Which team is best fit for Gomes?
From a homegrown perspective, there are obvious benefits from United re-signing Gomes, but his addition would also come when the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are expected to leave the club.
With that scenario proving financially beneficial to United and Gomes in a position to earn regular game time, it could be a transfer that suits all parties.
There is also potential for Gomes to break into Spurs' XI, yet there is currently greater uncertainty over how they may progress forward with Ange Postecoglou struggling to keep his job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Newcastle United have also been linked with Gomes. Given their need to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations, the Magpies moving for Gomes would make sense.
