Liverpool are allegedly prepared to spend as much as £107m on Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool have allegedly made contact with the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

Having established himself as the club's key man at just 20 years of age, Havertz is attracting interest from a number of top European clubs.

Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all said to be considering bids for the playmaker in the summer.

However, according to reports in Spain, Liverpool have already held informal discussions with representatives of the Germany international.

The report adds that the Premier League leaders are willing to pay as much as £107m in order to conclude a deal for the youngster.

Despite his reputation, Havertz has contributed just three goals from 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
