Lyon are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial on loan in January.
The France international's agent Philippe Lamboley said on Friday that his client wanted to leave the 20-time English champions during the winter transfer window.
A number of clubs, including Barcelona, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Everton, have been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old since the announcement.
However, according to RMC Sport, Lyon have emerged as genuine contenders for the attacker, with the Ligue 1 outfit ready to make a loan move at the start of 2022.
Martial started his professional career at Les Gones but only made four first-team outings for the club before joining Monaco in 2013.
The Frenchman scored 23 times for Man United during the 2019-20 campaign but struggled to make his mark last season and has also found it difficult this term, netting just once in 10 appearances.
