Manchester City have reportedly joined rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne.
United are expected to make a move for the England Under-21s international when he is a free agent in the summer.
However, City are hopeful that the centre-back will move to the Etihad Stadium because he shares the same advisers as Micah Richards, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite any potential move costing nothing, Clyne's future employers will be expected to pay out around £2m in compensation to Palace for his services.
