Manchester United lead the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves during this summer's transfer window.

The Portugal international is expected to leave Molineux this summer, with Wolves likely to sanction his sale for a figure in the region of £35m.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with the midfielder, but according to talkSPORT, Man United have now moved to the head of the queue for the former Porto youngster.

The report claims that Bruno Fernandes is 'trying to push Neves towards Old Trafford', with the 20-time English champions keen to sign another central midfielder in the current market.

The 24-year-old, who represented his country at this summer's European Championship, still has three years left to run on his contract at Molineux.

Neves has scored 20 goals and registered 10 assists in 176 appearances for Wolves, including five goals and two assists in 40 outings during the 2020-21 campaign.
