Arsenal are reportedly in discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a deal for Ruben Neves.
The 24-year-old has made 176 appearances for Wolves since arriving from Porto in July 2017, including 40 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.
The Portugal international still has three years left to run on his current deal at Molineux, but he is expected to be sold during this summer's transfer window.
Arsenal have emerged as the favourites for the midfielder, with a recent report claiming that the Gunners had already offered him a five-year contract to make the move to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Record, Mikel Arteta's side are now officially in talks with Wolves and are hopeful of agreeing a deal in the not too distant future.
The report, though, claims that the Gunners have identified Lille's Renato Sanches as an option should talks over a move for Neves break down.
Neves, who was in action for his country at this summer's European Championship, has also recently been linked with Manchester United.
