Manchester United are reportedly chasing Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara.
The 21-year-old midfielder is not a regular at Camp Nou and manager Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to give the go-ahead for the club to bid £15m for the playmaker, according to the Daily Mail.
The Spaniard has a buyout clause of £25m but United think that the deal they will put together will be enough to see them land the player.
Thiago was part of the Spanish Under-21 side that won the 2011 European Championships.
