Manchester United interested in Valencia youngster Fran Villalba?

Fran Villalba, who broke into Valencia's first team under Gary Neville but has since been unable to hold down a regular place, is reportedly wanted by Manchester United.

Premier League side Manchester United are keeping tabs on teenage Valencia midfielder Fran Villalba, according to a report.

The 18-year-old was handed his senior debut last year by then-boss Gary Neville and is supposedly available for £3.6m due to a buyout clause in his contract.

It is claimed by the Daily Mail that a number of teams are showing an interest in Villalba, who has been unable to break back into Los Che's starting lineup this term under new management.

Valencia are said to have already rejected an approach from Liverpool for the youngster, but may be unable to keep him on their books should United meet his valuation.

Villalba last appeared for the Spanish side in a 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the Copa del Rey in February.
