Manchester United reportedly make RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate a leading summer transfer target.

Manchester United reportedly view RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate as a leading target ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old started Leipzig's first five matches of the 2019-20 Bundesliga campaign before picking up a muscular problem which has kept him on the sidelines since.

United have recently been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, and according to Todofichajes, the Red Devils view Konate as a leading target ahead of the 2020-21 season.

The report claims that Leipzig, who are aware of other interest in the defender, have set a valuation of €50m (£43.7m) as the former Sochaux youngster has a contract at the Red Bull Arena until June 2023.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are thought to be in the market for a new centre-back this summer despite spending big on England international Harry Maguire last August.

Konate has scored three times in 71 appearances for his German side in all competitions.
