Manchester United are reportedly contemplating whether to use Paul Pogba in any proposal for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.

Manchester United may reportedly look to boost their chances of signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane by offering Paul Pogba in part-exchange.

While the two Frenchmen are currently representing their country at Euro 2020, their club futures are up for debate due to their respective situations at the Bernabeu and Old Trafford.

Each player is said to be open to taking on a new challenge as they consider whether to accept fresh terms put to them by Los Blancos and the Red Devils.

However, according to AS, United could look to take advantage of the situation by using Pogba as a way of strengthening their often-criticised backline.

The report claims that Real are less likely to accept the arrival of Pogba now that long-term admirer Zinedine Zidane has been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

Nevertheless, the duo have just 12 months remaining on their contracts, putting their clubs under pressure to avoid losing one of their star men on a free transfer.
