Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly approached Real Madrid to discuss a possible move for Raphael Varane during this summer's transfer window.
The France international's contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire next June, and a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, have been credited with an interest in his services.
PSG have also been mentioned as potential suitors, and according to Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 giants have now made contact with Los Blancos to discuss a possible switch to France.
The report claims that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to keep hold of the defender, but the decision could ultimately be taken out of his hands.
The La Liga giants are thought to have reopened contract talks with the World Cup winner, as they do not want to lose both Sergio Ramos and Varane this summer.
However, the former Lens youngster has allegedly not yet made a decision on his future, with the defender focusing on representing his country at the European Championship.
