Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay £130,000-a-week defender Marcos Rojo to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United are willing to pay Marcos Rojo to leave Old Trafford, according to a report.

The Argentine has been informed that he is no longer needed at United, with the Red Devils having splashed out a world-record £85m for Harry Maguire.

According to The Mirror, United have been unable to find a suitor for Rojo that is willing to meet their £20m asking price.

Another stumbling block is the defender's wage demands, with the 29-year-old earning £130,000 a week at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer's side are hopeful of soon reaching an agreement with Rojo that would see them pay him a portion of his contract to leave the club.

The 2016 signing from Sporting Lisbon is said to favour a move to La Liga or Serie A, with a number of clubs interested in taking him on loan.

United, however, favour a permanent transfer and are hoping for a bid from Turkish side Fenerbahce in the coming days.

Rojo made just six appearances for the Red Devils last season.
