Manchester United are reportedly adamant that they will not lower their £178m valuation of Paul Pogba amid speculation that Real Madrid plan to revive their interest.

Manchester United will reportedly hold firm on their €200m (£178m) valuation of Paul Pogba during the January transfer window.

The France international was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford throughout the summer after admitting that he would be open to a new challenge, with Real Madrid understood to have been leading the race for his signature.

Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus were also rumoured to be interested, although United rejected all advances and held on to their record signing.

Spanish outlet Sport reports that Madrid will reignite their interest in January but that United have not and will not lower their asking price.

Los Blancos spent more than £300m during the summer transfer window, but president Florentino Perez hinted that there could be more major investment in the squad to come.

Such a transfer fee would make Pogba the second-most expensive player in history, behind only PSG talisman Neymar.
