Manchester United youngster Reece James unsure over future

Reece James admits that extending his loan stay at Rotherham United may be the best option unless he is going to be involved in Manchester United's first team.

Manchester United youngster Reece James has revealed that he plans to hold talks with the club over his short-term future.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Championship side Rotherham United where he has made three appearances since joining at the end November.

James's six-week loan stint is due to come to an end in January, although he has hinted that staying at the New York Stadium could be the best option to develop his career.

"There's a conversation still to be had between me and Manchester United on what the best situation would be," the left-back is quoted as saying by the South Yorkshire Times.

"If they say it's a case of me being able to make the decision myself, if I'm not going to go back there and be involved in the first team, then it's definitely something I would like to do, to stay and be a Rotherham United player."

The Millers, who have drawn their last three games, are currently 21st in the Championship table.
