Atletico Madrid defender Miranda has told of his pride at reportedly being on Manchester United's transfer radar, but has also insisted that he is keen on remaining in Spain next season.
The 30-year-old centre-back is thought to be one of Louis van Gaal's targets for the summer, as the Dutch coach looks to rebuild United's defence.
"Of course this news reaches me, and it makes me happy. It shows I am doing well," Miranda told Estadao.
"It makes me proud, but my intention is to stay at Atletico because I still have a year-and-a-half on my contract."
Miranda has recently been at the forefront of Brazil's international plans, with the defender originally missing out on the country's World Cup squad last year.
