Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that Nemanja Matic is desperate to join the club from Chelsea this summer.
Matic is understood to be on the verge of completing a £40m switch to Old Trafford after images surfaced of the midfielder seemingly wearing United club clothing.
Mourinho stopped short of confirming that the deal was done, but did reveal that the player is keen on a reunion having previously worked with him at Stamford Bridge.
"I'm waiting for news. I know that he wants that very, very much and when a player wants very, very much the chance is bigger, the chance is bigger, so I think we have a chance but in football until it's official, I saw so many things happen that I refuse to say more than I am telling you now," he told MUTV.
Matic has made 154 appearances for Chelsea across two spells at the club, including 35 in the Premier League last season to help them to the title.
