Newcastle United and Manchester United have reportedly entered a race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, amid the lure of the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has netted 17 goals and registered six assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Napoli during this campaign, surpassing his total from his first season with the Serie A giants.
Newcastle are in the market for a new striker to better their league position from this year, while Man United will be looking to replace Edinson Cavani, and potentially Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.
Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that Napoli could be looking for an offer to break the £100m threshold before considering accepting a deal, which Newcastle are now expected to be able to fund under their new ownership.
The Nigerian international is believed to be keen to play in the Premier League, after going from the Bundesliga to Belgium and then Ligue 1 before signing for Napoli in 2020.
Since joining the Italian giants, Osimhen has scored 27 goals and provided nine assists in 60 appearances for the club.
