The 23-year-old's current contract expires in 2016, and the Daily Mail claims that he will earn £80k per week as part of the deal.
Fellow central defender Chris Smalling also signed a long-term deal in April, and it is believed that Jones has been offered a similar contract.
Jones joined Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers for £16m in 2011.
