Gerard Pique has become the latest person to claim that Cesc Fabregas will remain with Barcelona beyond the end of the summer transfer window.
The Spanish international midfielder has been the subject of interest from Manchester United, who have had two bids for his signature rejected by the La Liga champions.
However, despite rumours that the Red Devils have given consideration to making a third offer, Barca defender Pique has insisted that his teammate and close friend will remain at Camp Nou.
"He will stay at Barça because that's his dream. He always looks calm about it to me. He's a very good player. It is because of those qualities that teams are interested in him," the defender told reporters.
Fabregas rejoined Barca in 2011 from Premier League side Arsenal.
