Real Madrid join Rabbi Matondo race?

Schalke 04 winger Rabbi Matondo is reportedly a transfer target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer window.

Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Schalke 04 teenager Rabbi Matondo.

The former Manchester City youngster has supposedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United and Liverpool following a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga.

The Wales international recently insisted that he remains focused on completing the season with Schalke, but the rumours circulating around the 19-year-old's future continue to gather pace.

Diario Sport claims that Madrid are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding Matondo, with Zinedine Zidane supposedly prioritising the signings of up-and-coming players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Matondo has appeared in both of Schalke's fixtures since the Bundesliga's resumption, playing 77 minutes of his side's 3-0 home defeat to Augsburg on Sunday.
