Manchester United reportedly end their interest in Sean Longstaff as Newcastle United value him at £50m, which is £30m than the Red Devils are willing to pay.

Newcastle United youngster Sean Longstaff is reportedly no longer a target for Manchester United after they were quoted £50m for the midfielder.

Following last season's disappointing sixth-placed finish in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has focused on bringing in young, British players in the transfer window.

Daniel James was signed from Swansea City for £15m and Aaron Wan-Bissaka followed close behind from Crystal Palace for £50m.

Longstaff was touted as the next name on Solskjaer's list, but The Mirror claims that Newcastle's reluctance to accept anything lower than £50m has forced Man United to look elsewhere.

The Red Devils are rumoured to value the 21-year-old at no more than £20m as he has started just eight Premier League matches.

Meanwhile, it is believed that Steve Bruce will take over as the Magpies' new manager as early as Friday.
