Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly tells unsettled Barcelona attacker Neymar to snub interest from Paris Saint-Germain in order to wait for a move to Manchester United.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told unsettled Barcelona attacker Neymar to snub interest from Paris Saint-Germain in order to wait for a move to Manchester United.

PSG are said to be preparing to activate Neymar's release clause at Barcelona, which is believed to stand in the region of £196m.

Neymar started Barcelona's first pre-season friendly against Juventus on Saturday night, scoring twice for the Spanish giants in their 2-1 win in the United States.

After the match, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde insisted that the Brazilian international would not be leaving Camp Nou this summer, but it is understood that the player is keen on moving to Paris in order to step out of Lionel Messi's shadow.

However, according to Diario Gol, Real Madrid forward Ronaldo has been in contact with Neymar via WhatsApp, and the former Man United star has urged the 25-year-old to reject PSG in favour of a move to the English club.

United are said to be long-term admirers of the former Santos attacker, who has scored 105 goals in 186 appearances for Barcelona since joining the Catalan outfit in the summer of 2013.
