Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has admitted that he wouldn't like to see Jasper Cillessen replace David de Gea at the club.
The Dutch international goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Old Trafford due to the uncertainty that continues to linger over the future of De Gea.
Cillessen has worked under current United boss Louis van Gaal with his country, but Schmeichel believes that an incident at last year's World Cup, when Van Gaal withdrew Cillessen ahead of a penalty shootout, points to a lack of trust.
"Cillessen is a good goalkeeper, but [Van Gaal] took him off for the penalty shootout at the World Cup and that shows some kind of no trust," Schmeichel told talkSPORT.
"I think he doesn't trust him 100% and I wouldn't like a goalkeeper like that at Manchester United."
Schmeichel has previously called for United to go after Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris should De Gea join Real Madrid.
