Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Napoli and Italy international Lorenzo Insigne, who is out of contract next summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Napoli and Italy international Lorenzo Insigne.

The 30-year-old attacker has less than seven months remaining on his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and he is at risk of leaving the Serie A giants for free next summer.

According to Calciomercato, both Insigne and Napoli remain in talks over a potential contract extension, however Gli Azzurri are unprepared to match the forward's €5m-per-season wage demands.

The report also states that Inter Milan remain the frontrunners to sign Insigne, while Spurs, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also closely monitoring the player's situation.

Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his squad in the upcoming transfer windows and has been heavily linked with raiding Serie A for new recruits, with Insigne the latest name that he may look to target.

Insigne – who has also been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United – has made 413 appearances across an 11-year period for Napoli, scoring 114 goals and providing 91 assists.
