Swansea City sign Manchester United youngster on three-year deal

Swansea City announce that they have completed the signing of Manchester United defender Tyler Reid on a three-year deal.

Swansea City have announced that they have signed Manchester United youngster Tyler Reid.

Reid came through the youth ranks at Arsenal before linking up with United in 2012 and although the defender is leaving the North-West giants, he has admitted that he is excited by the challenge of trying to progress into the first team at the Liberty Stadium.

The 18-year-old told the club's official website: "I am really looking forward to a fresh challenge and getting started. I see a good opportunity to play first-team football with the development squad here.

"I see myself as a quick, strong and powerful player who likes to get forward. I hope I can offer something both in attack and defence.

"Swansea play good attractive football and I think that suits my style of play."

Reid is expected to join up with the development squad before their pre-season tour of Scotland.
