Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly move for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele before the January transfer window closes for business.
The Catalan giants have signalled a desire to sell the France international before the end of the month, as he has thus far refused to extend his contract, which is due to expire at the end of June.
A recent report claimed that Manchester United, Newcastle United and Chelsea were the three Premier League clubs in the mix for the World Cup winner's signature.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are considering moving for the 24-year-old before the closing of the winter transfer window.
The report claims that Barcelona want a £16m transfer fee for the attacker, but Spurs could struggle to pay him the £8m-a-season salary that he is demanding to leave Camp Nou.
Dembele has again struggled with injuries during the 2021-22 campaign, being restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions, managing only one goal and two assists this term.
