Trio of clubs 'still monitoring David de Gea contract situation'

A report claims that Real Madrid and two other European heavyweights are continuing to monitor David de Gea's contract situation at Manchester United.

Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain all reportedly remain interested in David de Gea, despite Manchester United's reluctance to sell.

The Red Devils have been in talks with the goalkeeper's representatives over a new long-term deal for the past 18 months.

De Gea has so far refused to commit his future to United, apparently because the club are unwilling to match his £350,000-a-week wage demands.

United recently took up the option of a 12-month extension in the Spaniard's existing deal, but they now face the prospect of losing him for free if they do not cash in this summer.

According to The Express, while the Premier League giants are unwilling to do business for De Gea, even if he does not put pen to paper, a trio of European clubs are continuing to monitor the situation.

Madrid, Juventus and PSG are all likely be willing to pay the 28-year-old the amount he is after to make him their new number one.
