Manchester United reportedly plan to hold talks with Marcus Rashford over a new long-term deal.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to open talks with Marcus Rashford over a new long-term deal.

The 20-year-old signed a four-year contract in 2016 keeping him at Old Trafford on a wage of £25,000 a week, although there is some concern that he could look to move on this summer.

According to the Daily Star, United are determined to sign the England international to "a bumper new deal" ahead of the World Cup amid fears that a good performance in Russia could leave him "vulnerable to approaches from some of Europe's biggest clubs".

The newspaper claims that United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has prioritised sorting out a new deal for Rashford and is prepared to offer him triple his current wages to commit to new terms.

Rashford has been part of the United setup since the age of seven and has made 75 Premier League appearances since breaking into the first team in 2015.
