Manchester United will reportedly swoop for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen if David de Gea moves to Real Madrid.
De Gea has been linked with a move to Los Blancos in recent seasons and, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, United boss Jose Mourinho believes that German international Ter Stegen is the right man to replace him.
The source adds that United want £88m for their Spanish stopper, and would use the money gained from the transfer to fund their raid for the Barca goalkeeper.
Ter Stegen has been influential this term for the Catalan club, who sit unbeaten at the top of La Liga after 25 games.
Madrid are planning an overhaul of the squad at the end of the season, with a new goalkeeper allegedly a top priority for manager Zinedine Zidane.
