Everton's efforts to land Memphis Depay may end in disappointment following reports that Manchester United are unwilling to allow the player to join a rival Premier League club.
Blues manager Ronald Koeman has expressed interest in signing the out-of-favour Dutch winger in January, but The Mirror claims that the Red Devils would prefer to loan Depay out to an overseas club.
United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be concerned that loaning the former PSV Eindhoven star to Everton could be detrimental to his team, given that they are level on points with the Toffees.
Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are rumoures to have emerged as contenders to secure Depay's services, with the former tipped to be in pole position since his fellow Dutchman Dick Advocaat is at the helm.
