Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia is open to leaving Old Trafford in January, according to a report.

Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia is reportedly open to leaving Old Trafford in the January transfer window having fallen out of favour under Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho.

Valencia will see his current deal with United expire at the end of the season, although the club have the option of a 12-month extension, which they could take up to protect his value.

The former Wigan Athletic attacker's future with the 20-time English champions is far from secure, however, with the emergence of Diogo Dalot at right-back and the breakdown of his relationship with Mourinho.

Valencia is currently United's longest-serving player in the squad - making 337 appearances in all competitions following his move from Wigan - but he has not featured in the Premier League since September 22.

According to the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old is open to leaving United in the January transfer window, with West Ham United and a number of Spanish clubs believed to be in the hunt.

Valencia has made just seven appearances for United during the 2018-19 campaign.
