Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has warned Real Madrid to forget about signing goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.
The Spaniard has not featured for the Red Devils yet in the 2015-16 campaign as speculation linking him with a move to the Bernabeu continues to linger.
It was reported on Thursday that the 24-year-old's agent Jorge Mendes is keen to finalise the deal, but Van Gaal is adamant that he will be staying at Old Trafford.
"I think when Manchester United wants a player he shall come, [apart from] when a club is not selling," he told reporters on Friday.
"Okay, then it is the same with us. We are not selling De Gea. It's the same."
De Gea, whose contract expires next summer, is expected to sit out the visit of Newcastle United this afternoon, with Sergio Romero poised to continue between the sticks.
