Robin van Persie wants Manchester United stay

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie reveals that he wants to see out his contract with the club.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has moved to dismiss reports that he is unhappy at the club.

Van Persie has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea this summer, while Juventus and Monaco are also believed to be showing an interest.

However, the Dutchman has claimed that he is more than happy to see out his contract at Old Trafford.

The Mirror quotes him as saying: "The truth is I'm very happy at this club. I signed for four years and I'd be delighted to stay even longer, beyond the next two years I have left on my contract.

"This is how I feel, although it's not what has been suggested. I'm very happy with my teammates and I'm very happy with my manager and his staff.

"The sessions we have on the training ground are fantastic and I'm learning a lot from them every day. I've been a professional footballer for 12 years and there's no doubt I'm learning new things and progressing with David Moyes."

United are currently sixth in the Premier League.
