West Ham United reportedly have no intentions of selling star midfielder Declan Rice this summer, even if he fails to agree terms over a new contract.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the London Stadium, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all believed to be interested in his services.

Rice, who is allegedly 'open' to a move in this summer's transfer window, has turned down a third contract offer from the Hammers, with his current deal expiring in June 2024.

However, Sky Sports News claims that the East Londoners have the option of extending his contract by another 12 months until June 2025, meaning they are under no pressure to sell the midfielder this summer.

The report adds that West Ham are planning to keep Rice this summer, but they would be prepared to part ways with the midfielder in 2023 for the right price.

David Moyes revealed to the press earlier this year that the Hammers should not entertain any offers below £150m for the England international.

Rice has been with West Ham since joining their academy from Chelsea in 2014 and he has gone on the make 188 appearances across all competitions, as well as featuring 29 times for the England national team.
