Preview: Marseille vs Lyon

Sports Mole previews Sunday's top-of-the-table clash between title challengers Marseille and Lyon.

Ligue 1's second and third-placed teams will go head to head on Sunday as Marseille host Lyon at the Stade Velodrome.

The hosts have hit a spell of bad form in recent weeks, winning just one of their last five matches in all competitions, including their only two league losses of the season so far.

Lyon, meanwhile, have lost just one of their 14 games in all competitions this season and go into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 win over Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in their midweek Europa League match.

Marseille will be without prolific striker Andre Gignac after he broke his foot in last weekend's shock defeat at the hands of Troyes, with Loic Remy expected to lead the line in his absence.

Should league leaders Paris Saint-Germain fail to win their game, the winner of this match would go top of the table.

Recent form:

Marseille: WWLDL

Lyon: WDLDW

Possible lineups:

Marseille: Mandanda; Abdallah, Fanni, N'Koulou, Morel; Amalfitano, Kabore, Cheyrou, Ayew; Valbuena; Remy

Lyon: Vercoutre; Reveillere, Lovren, Bisevac, Dabo; Briand, Gonalons, Malbranque, Lacazette; Gomis, Lopez

Sports Mole says: 0-1
