Jonathan de Guzman to join Marseille?

Former Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is close to joining Marseille, according to a report.

Napoli midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is reportedly on the verge of joining Marseille.

The 27-year-old only moved to the Italian club last year from Villarreal, after spending two seasons on loan at Swansea City.

However, he started just 12 games in Serie A during the last campaign and has been linked with an exit.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Dutch international is now in advanced negotiations with Marseille, who have already agreed terms with Napoli for a season-long loan.

De Guzman has won 14 caps for the Netherlands and was part of his country's squad at last summer's World Cup.
