Wednesday's Championship predictions including Middlesbrough vs. Derby County

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Championship fixtures, including Middlesbrough vs. Derby County.

Middlesbrough host struggling Derby County on Wednesday as the Rams look to turn their season around at the Riverside Stadium.

The hosts currently sit in eighth place in the table having narrowly lost out to Norwich City on Saturday, while Derby are still bottom of the league after their 1-0 loss against Bristol City.

We say: Middlesbrough 1-0 Derby County

Goals could be hard to come by on Tuesday night, with Derby likely to try and keep it tight for large periods. The onus will be on a blunt Boro attack to stamp their authority on the game, but we suspect they will find a way to overcome the opposition.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Millwall vs. Reading (Wednesday, 7.00pm)

Millwall head into their Championship fixture with Reading on Wednesday night hoping to secure their first league win in five and move closer to the playoff places.

Reading, meanwhile, have suffered four successive defeats and have slipped to sixth in the league table.

We say: Millwall 1-2 Reading

Both sides will be hoping for a victory on Wednesday in what should be a tight contest. Reading have scored eight goals in their last three away games but only managed to win one of those matches. Their firepower however should be strong enough to break down Millwall's backline and help secure their first win in five.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Bristol City vs. Watford (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Third faces fifth as Bristol City host Watford in the Championship on Wednesday night for the first time since 2013.

The Robins and the Hornets come into this fixture unbeaten from their last three league matches and both could go top of the table with a victory.

We say: Bristol City 1-1 Watford

Wednesday night will see two sides at the top end of the table battle it out in what should be a tight encounter at Ashton Gate. Despite Watford's desire to reach the Championship summit, Bristol City are likely to make it difficult for the visitors, which could see the points shared.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Coventry vs. Cardiff (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Cardiff City will be looking to revive their Championship promotion aspirations when they make the trip to Coventry City on Wednesday evening.

The Bluebirds have won just one of their last seven matches and are down in 15th place, while Coventry are a point above the dropzone after a run of one win in 10.

We say: Coventry City 1-2 Cardiff City

Both teams are in need of a morale-boosting victory - Cardiff in order to close the gap on the playoffs, Coventry to simply stay above the bottom three.

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in their last five matches on a Wednesday in all competitions (W3 D2) and we can see them taking all three points on Wednesday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Sheff Weds (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Swansea City host Sheffield Wednesday this coming Wednesday as the Owls travel to the Liberty Stadium in search of their first win under new manager Tony Pulis.

Swansea took all three points having come through a testing matchup with Rotherham United on Saturday, while Pulis was denied a dream start to his tenure as his side went down 1-0 to Preston North End.

We say: Swansea City 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

All roads point to a home win here, and though Pulis's men will huff and puff, we cannot see past the Welsh side who we expect to brush Wednesday aside without too much trouble.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
