Rajiv van La Parra 'to undergo Middlesbrough medical'

Rajiv van La Parra will swap Huddersfield Town for Middlesbrough in the coming days, according to a report.

Huddersfield Town winger Rajiv van La Parra is reportedly due to arrive at Middlesbrough in the next 24 hours to undergo a medical.

The 27-year-old is expected to join the Championship promotion chasers on loan for the rest of the season if all goes to plan, starting from January 1.

Van La Parra, who joined the Terriers from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2016, has featured just five times in all competitions this term due to an injury problem that he has now recovered from.

Sky Sports News claims that David Wagner has agreed to let the Dutch attacker leave the John Smith's Stadium, with Boro being given the option to sign the player permanently at the end of the campaign.

Feyenoord youth product Van La Parra could make his Middlesbrough debut against Derby County on New Year's Day.
