Marseille have gone to the top of the Ligue 1 table after they earned a narrow 1-0 win at Nancy on Sunday night.

The visitors controlled much of the first half but were unable to open the scoring as Andre Pierre Gignac was wayward with two opportunities.

The only goal of the game came on 53 minutes when Jordan Ayew got on the end of brother Andre's cross to head in.

Elie Baup's side are now one point ahead of second-placed Lyon, while Nancy stay one point above the relegation zone in 17th.
