Rafael Benitez looking forward to Champions League with Napoli

Rafael Benitez believes that Napoli can impress this season in the Champions League.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has admitted that the Champions League is an exciting prospect for the club in his first season in charge.

Benitez said that he and his players are fully focused on improving the reputation of the club and Serie A with a strong Champions League showing.

"For me it is a new situation facing the Champions League with a team like Napoli," Benitez told Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's a great incentive to grow the club both in Italy and in Europe.

"Naples is a city like Liverpool, and has as passionate fans. Here there is a great desire to do well. There are several guys who have already played in the Champions League and they will help others with the experience. This team has quality - it can be a special season."

Napoli will find out their group-stage opponents this Thursday.
