Aurelio de Laurentiis says that Edinson Cavani will only be allowed to leave Napoli for a "really high" transfer fee.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has told a fan on Twitter that he and Edinson Cavani have agreed a fee for his potential transfer.

The Uruguayan striker has become one of Europe's most highly-sought after players after three impressive seasons at the Stadio San Paolo, in which he has notched 71 league goals.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for the player, who has a reported buyout clause of €63m (£53m) in his contract.

When asked about the possibility of the 26-year-old departing Naples at the end of the season, De Laurentiis replied: "I put a really high cost on it, because I do not want to see [Cavani leave].

"And I put [the cost] with the agreement of players."

Cavani joined Partenopei from Palermo for €5m (£4.2m) in 2010.
