Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa recovers from a hamstring complaint to take part in training earlier today.

French international Hatem Ben Arfa has resumed training with his Newcastle United teammates.

The 25-year-old has been on the sidelines since the middle of December because of a hamstring injury.

However, having taken part in a session this morning, the attacker could now be included in the squad that will take on Metalist Kharkiv in the Europa League this Thursday.

"We are looking well and Hatem Ben Arfa has come back," manager Alan Pardew told Sky Sports News. "I am sure our fans are looking forward to hearing that and we had our full squad training which is great."

Ben Arfa joined the Magpies on a permanent basis from Marseille in 2011.
