Newcastle United winger Sammy Ameobi believes that his side are going into their Capital One Cup clash against Manchester City full of confidence.
The 22-year-old netted his first goal in the Premier League for the Magpies in their 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
"It's been a tough start to the season - everybody knows that - but we've stuck together," Ameobi told the club's official website.
"We had to stick together or we wouldn't be where we are now. We've had to just fight for it because that's the Premier League. There are no easy games and hopefully we can kick on from here.
"It's never an easy place to go, Man City, but I'm really looking forward to it. If we can go out with the confidence we had against Tottenham, you never know what can happen."
Alan Pardew's side face City at the Etihad Stadium in their matchup tomorrow.
