Senegal Football Association president Augustin Senghor has admitted that he wants Newcastle United duo Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse to compete in the Olympics this summer.
It is understood that Ba and Cisse have yet to be approached, but Senghor remains certain that the pair will take part.
"If we can strengthen our young team with famous players from great championships like the Premier League, we should. We need top scorers like Papiss Cisse," Senghor told Sky Sports News.
"If we call them, they will come. They are patriotic guys. It is a privilege to participate in the Olympic Games. There are many great players who regret not playing in the Olympics."
Senegal will face Great Britain in their Olympic opener on July 25.
